The flagship of the Mercedes SL range, this rare UK supplied right hand drive 600SL was ordered new in a desirable all-black colour combination and features all factory options including the Becker Stereo with speaker upgrade. It must be one of the finest examples in existence having covered only 32,000 miles from new in the hands of three owners who have correctly serviced the car and looked after it meticulously. As a result it is in excellent original condition throughout and comes with a full history with all books, tools, invoices, MOT certificates, keys, unused spare and unopened first aid kit.

The original invoice on file indicates that the SL was supplied new on the 11th November 1993 by Mercedes main dealer Bradshaw and Webb in Chelsea. The list price then was just under £100,000. The first owner, a customer of Hairpin and owner of many fine cars particularly liked the SL, retaining it until the summer of 2015. During his ownership the car received gentle limited use and has always been carefully stored. Lack of use has not been an excuse for poor maintenance. The SL was maintained as per manufacturer’s servicing schedule, mostly by the same Mercedes dealer in Guildford, Surrey during his tenure. The original stamped service book and invoices on file detail the work completed, suffice it to say any area requiring attention was immediately addressed.

We have subsequently sold the SL to two regular Hairpin customers and during this time the mileage has risen from 20,000 miles to 32,000 currently. Once again, the car was very carefully looked after as detailed in the servicing stamps and invoices on file and as can be seen from the car’s outstanding condition.
