1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Veloce
A wonderful example of the ultimate production 105 Series Step nose model finished in its original colour scheme of dark grey with rich tan interior. That completely factory original interior is of special note not just for its fine condition but for those bucket seats with corduroy centres that are a thing of beauty.
Originally supplied to its home market the Alfa spent many years in the hands of one family who rarely drove it. Having languished in dry storage for a long period the car was spotted for sale at specialist dealer Bresciacar.
Following purchase the Giulia was transported to the UK and immediately sent to the owner’s restorers of choice, DTR Sports Cars, well-known and respected Italian car specialists. Their full inspection report on file identified shortcomings in mechanicals and bodywork and the subsequent invoicing on file amounting to £40,000 detailing the extensive body restoration and full engine rebuild.
Today as one might expect the car presents and drives correctly. Importantly, the original feel of the car has been retained and the interior remains original and untouched. If you haven’t driven a good 105 Series Alfa you really should, all components work so well together with a tactility and lightness of touch and you soon fall into an easy rhythm with the car. This is one of the best.
