1950 Land Rover Series One 80ӣ POA
A superbly presented early Land Rover 80” Series 1 that has been totally restored by Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works as a part of their own inhouse “Reborn” program.
This particular car is number 25 from the program and has the advantage of being the more desirable lights behind the grill model.
The car was originally supplied to Australia as a home market built vehicle. It was sold through Grenville Motors in Sydney to a sub dealer called “Amos Smith & Sons” located in Narrabri, New South Wales. The vehicle had clearly benefited from the dry Australian climate as when disassembled the chassis and bulkhead was found to be in remarkably good and largely rot-free order.
A full documented hardback restoration book accompanies the car – this documents the full restoration and history of the vehicle in huge detail. The Reborn program was set up to provide customers with the very best quality factory specification restorations. The authenticity and accuracy of this car is without question – it is simply a superb concours level Land Rover Series 1. It should be noted that the first Reborn Series 1 recent sold for $248,800 in the US, making this vehicle highly sought after.
