1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello
A really great example of the increasingly highly regarded 550 model finished in the best colour, Grigio Tittanio, that has covered only 7,800 miles in the hands of three owners from new.
The 550M was supplied when new by Ferrari main dealer, JCT600, based in Leeds on the 22nd October 2007 as noted on the original invoice on file. The first owner was a Mr Harrison, not only a regular customer but owner with his brother of some of the finest Ferrari models built including, at one time, two 250 GTO models. Mr Harrison retained the 550 in his collection until April 1999, completing less than 4,000 miles in this period.
The second owner purchased the 550 from the highly regarded Ferrari specialist Rardley Motors in Hindhead, Surrey. He retained the car until May 2014, the mileage rising to just 7,400 miles in this ownership. The original stamped maintenance book and a substantial number of invoices on file indicate how well he looked after the car despite the lack of use. Servicing was completed as per Ferrari schedule and any faults were immediately corrected. Work was completed by Rardley Motors and the similarly highly regarded, Talacrest.
Rardley once again sold the 550 to the third and last owner in May 2014. This enthusiast had been looking for a really good 550M to join his collection of exceptional cars for some time and following a glowing inspection and report from Ferrari expert Neal Lucas, a copy of which is on file, the car was purchased. During this last ownership the car has once again been used very sparingly. It has been stored in perfect conditions and correctly serviced by Dick Lovett, the Ferrari main agent in Swindon, as detailed in service stamps and invoices on file.
A great 550M in virtually as new original condition that drives perfectly.
