1989 Porsche 911 Turbo LE
This is one of only fifty Turbo LE models produced in 1989 to celebrate the end of 911 Turbo production. With an extensive specification including the G50 5 speed gearbox and an increase in power to 330 bhp the LE was much in demand when new and has remained so albeit now as a classic model.
This LE is one of the best, it has covered only 24,000 miles from new and remains in excellent original condition throughout having been evidently well cared for and sparingly used throughout its life.
Originally supplied by Monarch Cars in Little Aston, the Porsche Dealer for the Midlands at the time, the car was retained for a matter of weeks by its original owner who no doubt took advantage of the large premiums the LE was making at the time. It was not cheap with a list price of £88,500 but they were selling for up to £175,000 on the secondary market in 1989/90.
Since then the LE has been carefully used and maintained as documented in the extensive history file and original stamped service book. The last owner purchased the car in 2009 following an exhaustive search for the best example to join his lovely collection of low mileage original modern classics. A full inspection was undertaken by his local Porsche dealer prior to purchase and faults found by them were corrected prior to delivery.
A careful inspection reveals just how good and original this LE remains today in all respects. All factory stickers are in place and panel fit remains factory perfect. Inside it retains that new 911 smell which is very distinctive on these late 930 models. On the road it continues to impress, still quick and so tight, responsive and precise. A good original LE is such a great exhilarating drive and being so well built they’ll do it forever with careful maintenance.
It comes with all books in the correct Porsche wallet, all keys, tools and the abovementioned history file.
