1968 Mercedes 280SL
A very nice right hand drive UK supplied 280SL ‘Pagoda’ with hard and soft tops and the desirable automatic transmission finished in a great colour combination of period correct silver metallic with red leather interior and black soft top and hub caps.
The car is in very good condition throughout and is well known to Pagoda specialists Roger Edwards Motors who sold the car over twenty years ago to an enthusiast in the Channel Islands as detailed in the interesting history file.
More recently the car has undergone a body restoration, mechanical check-over and full service with much detail by classic specialists Thornley Kelham, based in the Cotswolds. Invoicing on file details the work completed, suffice to say in excess of £35,000 was spent on an already good example.
Most recently the Pagoda has returned to Roger Edwards for a gearbox rebuild and check-over.
A very good driving example ready for immediate use, this 280SL comes with the above mentioned history file and a fine stereo system with updated period look Becker head unit and hidden high quality speaker system.
