1977 Mercedes 450SLC

An exceptional right hand drive example in very good original order that has covered only 52,000 miles from new. Finished in Diamond Blue metallic with dark blue leather interior this SLC was specified with many options including air conditioning, leather interior, electric sunroof, headlamp wash/wipe and Becker stereo system. It was supplied when new by Jackson’s, the Mercedes main dealer for the Channel Islands to a local Jersey resident on the 6th of September 1977 as detailed in the original service book on file.

The SLC remained with the original owner in Jersey until 1986 and was maintained by Jackson’s, the supplying dealer during this period as shown by the numerous stamps in the service book.

In 1986 the car was registered in the UK and since then it has been carefully looked after by several enthusiasts as detailed in the many maintenance invoices on file. The outstanding original order of the SLC today bears testimony to the care exhibited by each owner over the years and of course to the legendary build quality of Mercedes cars from this period.

Most recently we sent the car to the highly regarded marque specialists Roger Edwards Motors for a full evaluation and servicing. They completed any work required as detailed by an invoice on file totalling in excess of £4,000. In addition to a full service, work included fitment of an original equipment Mercedes exhaust system, new Michelin tyres and conversion of the air conditioning system to run using the modern gas.

It comes with all keys, tools, full book pack in the correct wallet and the above-mentioned history file.
