1989 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet

A rare right hand drive Turbo cabriolet produced only for the 1989 model year, featuring the G50 5 speed gearbox. This is one of the finest available, it is finished in the finest colour combination and is in superb original condition having covered just 26,000 miles with a full history from new.

As was often the case, this car was ordered by a speculator who sold it on the day of delivery to respected dealer Bramley in Surrey in June 1989. They supplied the car immediately to a local enthusiast, Mr Duncan Chisholm of Cobham, Surrey. He kept the car until 1997 and hardly used it at all, when AFN, the Porsche dealer in Guildford bought the car in 1997 it had covered only 1,100 miles and was as new. The original service book with the car shows that it was serviced each year during his ownership and underwent an MOT test as required - the original MOT certificates from the first in 1992 are in the history file.

AFN sold the car in April 1997 to another local enthusiast, a Mr Nick Montague who lived down the road in Guildford, Surrey. He kept the car until 2001 and again used it sparingly, the mileage rising to just 4,000 when he sold it to dealer Bramshaw in Hampshire in 2001. Again, during his ownership the car was correctly maintained by AFN Porsche in Guildford and by Ray Northway in Newbury.

Bramshaw sold the car in May 2001 to Nigel Muskill of Salisbury, Wiltshire, again it was clearly a second car for high days and holidays as during his two years of ownership the mileage increased to 6,000 miles. It was serviced each year by Chapelgate, the Porsche main dealer in Bournemouth.

Bramshaw bought the car back from Mr Muskill in 2003 and sold it to Mr Colin Lewis who used the car more than all the previous owners put together, the mileage increasing to 22,000 miles during his four years of ownership. Once again the car was correctly maintained with a service each year by a well-regarded specialist.

Most recently the car has been part of a small private Porsche collection, each of which is a fantastic and original low mileage example of its type. The car has been maintained by Dick Lovett, the Porsche dealer in Swindon and by renowned Porsche specialists, Parr Motorsport. Everything works as it should including the air conditioning and recent work has included stainless steel exhaust fitment and replacement of oil pipes and gaskets.

An excellent car that comes complete with all books in the correct wallet, many invoices, MOT certificates and ownership history, all tools, keys and the 'as new' hood cover and full tonneau, in their original mohair bags.
