1989 Porsche 911 Carrera SSE Cabriolet

This is one of the last of only 75 Carrera Super Sport Cabriolet models built for the UK Market. These special cars featured the Turbo look wider body and had the upgraded suspension and brakes of the Turbo model. This was a very expensive option at the time but it does give the car a very purposeful look and results in a more sporting feel on the road.

Supplied when new in April 1989 by Porsche dealer Charles Follett in London, the car has subsequently covered 37,000 miles in the hands of four owners. It is completely immaculate and original throughout and comes with a full Porsche main dealer history and all books, tools invoices and a tailored car cover.

The first owner retained the car for two years and covered some 14,000 miles, during this time it was serviced at 2,390 miles by Lancaster Porsche and at 5,600 miles by Chariots Of St Albans.

The second owner a Mr Hanmer purchased the car in October 1991 from Strattons Of Wilmslow He retained the car until June 1993, the mileage increasing to 18,500 during this period. He used Merlin, the Porsche main dealer in Nottingham for maintenance, during his ownership the car was serviced in October 91 and June 93.

The third owner, a Mr Clifford kept the car for a further two years until March 96, taking the mileage to 26,000 miles. He continued to use Merlin for maintenance, the car returning to them three times for servicing in this period.

Mr Shorthouse based in Hook retained the car from 96 to October 2010, he again maintained the car correctly, despite adding only 10,000 miles in his ownership the car was serviced thirteen times by Porsche dealer AFN Reading during this period

The most recent owner, a very discriminating Porsche collector purchased the car for his collection at the end of last year. It was immediately sent to AFN, the Porsche dealer in Guildford for a full checkover and any work required was completed. The car is now only for sale due to lack if space.

The superb original order of this car indicates just how carefully each of the owners has used and looked after it. The car drives exceptionally well with no apparent wear, it has a very full history file with fully stamped original service book, all invoices and MOT certificates.
